Left before we even sat down – I had made reservations for lunch and when we got there, there was no host to be found. After about 5 minutes, someone came by and told us that there was a five minute wait (despite the fact that the restaurant was only half full). We said ok and went into the foyer to wait. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT - Will never go back!!!!!!!!!! – My Best friend and I went out to dinner on Valentines Day. I choose Tangata because I was searching for somewhere new to eat and wanted a new experience also they had an ealry reservation at 7:15 .We got to the resturant at 7:15 pm at the exact time of our reservation. We were placed all the way in the back againist a wall. Nice interior – Dinner and Movie Night on 11/1/2007, Restaurant was 50% filled, understaffed, we sat down at 6 p.m. and ordered the pre-fix menu for $30 and where assured we make it for the 7:30 Humphrey Bogart Movie at the Museum - 10 steps next door. Bar tender was missing, 1/2 full martini?s :(... got combed one so..., salad has "paper" in it, steak was not served as ordered and one large steak and 2nd steak 1/2 size ?? ???.room for improvement. P.S. get some red wine glasses.
