This little restaurant near the Mall of America offers Indian cuisine that is a real taste treat. Don't let the strip mall atmosphere scare you away; this is the real thing. From the warm hospitality and tasteful decor to the Indian music and gracious service, the Tandoor has plenty to offer. The menu includes many Indian favorites, such as dal makhani, Tandoori dishes, rotis and naans. There is also a Sunday brunch buffet that is definitely worth the visit.

Like so many others, have been a fan for years! So lucky to have this treasure here int he Twin Cites. Food is consistent, always fresh, hot and service is excellent.
Always excellent – I have been going here for many years. The lunch buffet has a nice variety of very tasty food that is always well-prepared. Food is prepared fresh and replaced on a continuous basis. Although it is not large, there are enough vegtarian and nonvegetarian items that there is always plenty to eat. Tandoor never for buffet!!!! – I went for an buffet on sat,but was very sad,didn't like it at all.the tandoor chicken seems stale.Service was pathetic,they were not concern as what was empty. I have been here for dinner,that time i found it ok for chicken tikka masala,but last time had chicken biryani..it was not good at all. Rude and not worth expensive restaurant – I had gone here to have my marriage anniversary dinner but I was surprised to see the attitude of but waiters.....they are ill-mannered....they banged the dishes on tables....in-between they don't even have courtesy to check on guest...we have to call every time which really spoils the mood of dining outside... ehh. – They had good food, nothing special or entertaining abouth this place, but my wife likes the website the monkey or whatever is very funny. A lot ofd weird things I didn't understand on menu... maybe ill try something I'm comfortable with, and not what my wife picks out.
Great experience in every way – We had a wonderful time.......the breads are perfect and the curries so truly Indian. The samosas are some of the best I've ever had, with a wonderfully different sauce. I like good, wholesome Indian food in a warm, friendly environment...and that's what we always get.
Surhabi buffet is better – went for lunch buffet. tandoori chicken was dry and perhaps old? everything else was ok. i highly recommend Surhabi in Bloomington. also leave the kiddos home-they charge $5 for 3 year olds.
Indian food that will knock your socks off! – I am in MSP about two weeks a month for business and Tandoor has become one of my weekly must-visit stops. Food is moderately priced, staff is exceptionally friendly and the product is amazing. I'm nut for some chicken makhani and there isnt any better in any of the dozens of Indian restaurants I've been to across the U.S. I know naan is pretty basic type of food, but somehow Tandoor's seems fresher and more lively than other places. Best Indian Food Around: Scratch That, Best Food Around – Having tried many different Indian Cuisines around the world, nothing comes close to matching the quality of the Tandoor in Bloomington. Its curry is the freshest I have tired and the Garlic Nan is enough to knock you out of your seat. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala which clearly uses the freshest ingredients around. If you are in Minneapolis, or anywhere in the Midwest for that matter, make sure you stop by the Tandoor.
