STAR “My husband was sent to Tampico Terrace for skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and our experience was extremely concerning. He developed a fever, became confused and was hallucinating, and I ultimately had to insist that 911 be called. I was also unable to get clear, consistent answers from staff about his medications and care. Tampeco over dosed my dad on insulin 2 days in a row, he had his first seizure at 75 because of the incompetence of the nurses that run that place, my dad went to get rehab because his legs were weak after long illness, he was on the mend to come home, but after 2 strait days of so called accidental od of insulin, my dad never recovered, he declined so fast I couldn't believe it, he ultimately had to come home on hospice and passed away. After my mom underwent major brain surgery at UCSF, our family was very nervous about choosing a rehabilitation facility due to prior negative experiences elsewhere.
