Her front office receptionist was the rudest!!! Dr M did cataract surgery on both of my eyes. My vision is worse than before - she lasered both new lenses and told me to go to an optometrist for my new prescription! Seriously! Her husband is her office manager- he hides out! What kind of business is this? Just tried to call and there was no answer on one line and the other was disconnected! Seriously! What is going on?

I would like to give Dr. Martin a better rating. I feel that she is a caring doctor who is a good eye surgeon. In the Fall 2016 she performed surgery on both eyes . As a patient of hers it is impossible to get an appointment. I have a problem with one eye and it could be an infection. Called the first week in April 2018 told the earliest appointment - last week of June. That is just outrageous. Staff is extremely rude-unwilling to contact doctor for emergency patients-who is running that office

It's hard to know whether she is a good doctor or just someone who just takes up space. Forget about making an appointment, she will have one of her rude office people call and cancel it or reschedule it numerous times. As a doctor she is totally unacceptable.

Dr Martin did cataract surgery on my dominant eye, put in a "multifocal" lens but I cannot see far away in that eye. I am an avid tennis player now struggling to see. I complained and she did a Yag laser..did not work. I went to a well known university eye center and the Dr said I was nearsighted in that eye and would not recommend removing the lens implant because it was risky after laser. He did my other eye and put in a lens that I "could hopefully live with". Not what I wanted to hear:(

I have had 3 appointments with Dr. Martin and have yet to meet the doctor. Her office staff has had me undergo multiple tests and when I had a question regarding the results they told me that the dr. does not speak to patients on the phone and that I would have to wait to speak to her at my next appointment 6 month later. Her office staff is incredibly rude and I believe this is due to mismanagement by the person in charge. Do not recommend!

I am so unhappy with my treatment. I called Tamela's office in mid March to make a appointment and was told that the earliest appointment available would be mid June. She was highly recommended so I agreed. Today June 7th I receive a phone call that says they have to cancel my appointment and can get me in June 20th but not with Tamela. They said I would have to wait longer to get an appointment with her. How sad that someone cannot even accommodate a new patient who waited months to go.

Dr. Martin is caring, knowledgeable, takes the time to explain things, has an upbeat personality, and a sense of humor. My husband had an emergency eye condition and she cleared her schedule so he could come in immediately to see her. And then I had an eye problem that sounded like it could be serious and she took no chances but had me come in right away to see her. Additionally Dr. Martin did both are cataract surgeries. She is the only female ophthalmologist in the desert and she is a gem!

I have a severe eye infection on eye she did surgery on and has refused to treat me and unless I pay $45.00 for paperwork that is needed for meds needed to treat me plus the meds, suggest I go elsewhere. My new surgery was scheduled for the end of the month, but now being told to go elsewhere, it's very difficult to be accepted by another Dr because of her under handed ways. The whole staff are not honest. Do not go there!
