Since World War II the Tambellini name has been synonymous with fine Italian cuisine. In Pittsburgh, the Tambellini name is an institution - known particularly by the former Route 51 restaurant location which drew regular crowds wanting to experience the famously delicious food. "Tambellini's hot sausage and Italian meatball sandwiches. That's what we call yum!" - ESPN Stadium Guide "It's Italian, naturally. Lots of dishes with red sauce, especially Bolognese, also called Pap Pap's Meat Sauce. How could you not like a sauce ... read more

Food truck was at Trax Farms this weekend for the fall event. Our family paid over $30 for 2 meals and they were absolute garbage. The french fries were yellow, the veggie hoagie turned into a ball of mush from the amount of grease on the vegetables. I’m never expecting exceptional food from a food truck but this was beyond disgusting. Avoid this place at all cost!
The mushy parmasean chicken hoagie is most certainly not worth the $17. Lowest quality vendor at the Bloomfield Italy Days festival. I feel bad giving small businesses bad reviews. I’ll delete this review in a year or two and assume they’ll have changed for the better.
They charge a dollar extra for credit card charges even though it's like 2.6%. so if you buy one of their expensive $17 sandwiches they're taking another $0.80 off of you.... The hot sausage was good but not $17 good.
Got one of the worst sandwiches ever from this vendor at Lernerville speedway Saturday. Looking at their big sign with pictures of a nice, juicy looking chicken breast on a bun, I opted in even at the price point of $16......thing came out and was 2 chicken patties on a bun....nothing like the picture or price would I expect. Live and learn. Wish I bought instead from the other trailers.
Food truck chick parm sandwich is a frozen processed chicken patty. Last year we had an actual chicken cutlet. For two sandwiches and a large fry was $40.
