This is next level Mexican food. I had the carnitas taco and the Oaxaca pollo tamale and it was incredible. I also tried my wife's chile verde tamale and it was amazing.
I felt like I had to leave this review because the people here were just that above and beyond nice today. But that’s actually nothing out of the ordinary it’s been my experience over the years. Same for the food, it’s consistently excellent every time I’ve been. Thanks so much! I appreciate you all :)
Just like anywhere else you go in Portland for food from south of the border, but you're not from Portland (you live near the border) and everything is overpriced and under-flavored. I'll give credit to the pastor because it was actually good. Asada tasted like hamburger. Chicken was...odd? Tasteless chips and salsa for 8.99 instead of, you know...for free? I guess the tamales are good? But I doubt it? If you're into Matt's BBQ/tacos, you'll love it.
