He messed up my shoulder too. Said he put screw in bicep random and did not. Didn't shave AC joint enough and need up with more surgeries Not from him.
Hard a terrible experience with this doctor. Three other ortho have had to look at it and all say the only way to fix it is to take it out and start over. can't even begin to think about that cost and time down again. Never ever go to this man!
I went in expecting to need ACL surgery from a minor fracture. On-line research in reputable sources indicated this was between 75% and 99% likely. He said it a side ligament was torn, and surgery wasn't needed. My recovery has been smooth. I really super appreciate it when doctors don't over-treat.

Dr. NICOLA is very personable, skilled, and dedicated. He has more than 40 years of OR experience. I have gone to him for more than 10 years.
This doctor saved my life. I could barely walk after a bad skiing accident we tried injections and everything. He suggested a total knee replacement and me being so young was nervous. He did a great job though and I feel like a million bucks
Complete Achilles tear with diffuse horsehair ends. Worry about shortening of Achilles with difficulty achieving normal gait following surgery to reattach. Dr. Nicola explained his unique stitch to me. Following surgery, about six (6) weeks in stiff boot and then 2 months of light stretching of calf. Good news is the surgery was a complete success and I am now running and soon hopeful of playing futbol again! Can't say enough about Dr. Nicola's skill. Highly recommend.
Dr. Nicola is the best! For a busy orthopedic surgeon, he is so caring and personable. He has done many procedures for me and my family over the years and we have been 100% satisfied with everything he has done for us. He recently did total knee surgery on a close family friend of ours and I hear nothing but good things about him wherever I go. We are so grateful for Dr. Nicola and the care he has for his patients. My family recommends him to everyone we know! Thank you Dr. Nicola for being the best!
I had a lateral release preformed on my left knee. No after rehab, No brace, I returned to work to soon. The swelling on my knee was horrible. I went back twice for follow up visits. I was told nothing was wrong. Another doctor ended up taking 130 cc's of green fluid off of my knee. 9 months later. It has been over a year I have not healed and use a brace at work.
