TTW had a fantastic menu that not only was simple and varied, the service was wonderful and the food was delicious!!! Live music on the deck and an outside bar was a nice touch while waiting for our table! I highly recommend Tale of The Whale!!!

We’ve been coming to the OBX for 50yrs and have eaten many places. This is still our favorite, we get a little dressed up and go every year for that ‘special meal’ of the week. What makes it special? Everything: beautiful location, real table cloths and napkins, excellent food & drink, friendly & efficient wait staff and as a bonus a nice little selection of jewelry. It is also nice to see many of the same faces year after year.
