Recommendedwe had a party of 23 people and 2 babies, unexpected for them. with a 30 minute drive there, called ahead and was seated within half hour of arrival. waitress was wonderful and separated our many checks without a problem and food was extremely delicious
Tale of the Whale is an awesome place all the way around. Best filet migon around. Best seafood around. The prices are great l must say better than most around. Also the staff is superb. We would highly recomend this place!!!!

You can never go wrong at Tale of The Whale. Expect a reasonable wait, but the variety on the menu and the quality of the food are always worth it, and worth every dollar. We try to come back at least once every summer. I had the Crab and Shrimp Au Graten. And it was every bit as good as it sounds.
Had an amazing dinner the rock fish was excellent and portions were huge
Great food and service was supberb. I will go here every time I go to OBX
