I have been in the bicycle business most of my life, having worked for my Dad's company, Chevy Chase Bicycle Service, since I was a little kid. I love bikes and love riding all types of bicycles. RecommendedI had my eye on an e-bike for months. I’m lucky it was in stock during the pandemic! Bruce was great at doing all transactions online and over the phone. Highly recommend this place. Friendly, helpful service. Cute bike, too.
Don’t order on Amazon, support your local shops! I called and spoke to someone who guided me through picking a helmet that would fit my daughter on their website. I paid online and picked it up. The order was placed on their porch and I picked it up with no contact. My daughter loves the helmet and it fits great!
Outstanding service. Took my diamondback bicycle for a basic tune-up and it was running as smooth as burger buns. However, I did had to take it for a second round for a safe measurement and Andre was more than happy to have a look at it. My bottom bracket was replaced at an affordable price of 30 bucks and, oh boy, my bike is back at its prime. 🙌🤙 my money was worth the wait Thanks to Takoma Bicycles and Bruce, Andre, and the rest of the team I’m back on the road riding once again.

Fast and affordable service! By far the best bike shop in the area. They also have a nice large selection of accessories and helmets which is great. Have gotten plenty of repairs done there and hope to purchase on of their used bikes for the upcoming season.
