The food was excellent in taste and the guacamole was delicious, and the chips were fresh and I honestly couldn't stop eating them.
I loved Takoba in the past but was very disappointed in the atmosphere, the service, and the experience. My career is in the customer service field therefore I understand the importance of the guest experience. The staff was not engaging, no one smiled, most of them looked like they were not having fun at work. The bathrooms were filthy with trash and graffiti everywhere. I just walked out of Takoba after being seated inside and waiting for over 25 min for a waiter to take our order and no one ever came back to the table. Waiters passed us didn't even look down. Hostess was helping bus a table while people waited to be sat meanwhile the dining room was dead. One Other table. I wanted to take my mother there as I have eaten here before and love the food. However the service has never been great here so I can find a place that has better service and just as good of food.
Hands down to the best micheladas. Been here twice already and they always slam. Service is great, food is phenomenal. I recommend it to everybody. Oh, and hands down to the micheladas.
We live in the neighborhood and love this place! The Ceviche is delicious and so is the Pozole! The Mexican Martini's in a shaker give you 2 delicious drinks and the chips are 👍
By far my favorite chips and salsa in town and their pozole is WONDERFUL! Always have great service and the patio is just perfect for a nice night out with your pup or if you just like being outside! One of my favorite places in Austin for sure!
