Me and a couple of my friends just came to eat at TAJ a couple days ago for their lunch buffet and to be honest, I was a bit nervous because I had never eaten Indian food before. So, we came in and I absolutely loved their decor with the saris hanging because it was a very authentic setting. We were greeted by this man who is probably the manager, and were seated. You should try Taj – My son has only had Indian food in England where he learned to love it. He thought this was good, maybe not the Bengal Spice in Williton, but a shorter trip to get there. We had the papadam and chutney (brought with every meal), the chicken tikka masala, the lamb vindalu, and the garlic naan. Plenty to eat and I thought the vindalu was better than the tikka masala. I would go there again (but also want to try the other 2 Indian places in Knoxville).

Went to Taj to dine because we had received coupons in the mail. Made the mistake of cutting out the coupons from the ad postcard. When it was time to pay, owner would not honor the coupon because it did not have the restaurant logo on the actual coupon. Instead he said we should have brought the whole page with the extra coupons on it, since the whole page actually has the name of the restaurant on it.
