We started Tailwind Cyclists to give the Pittsburg, KS area and Adventure Cycling tourists a professional shop with small town friendliness. Meet the Business Owner Roger L. Business Owner After 8 years of racing road bikes full time and mountain bikes occasionally (1993 KS mountain bike champ) Roger & Rebecca Lomshek opened Tailwind Cyclists in 2000.

RecommendedI gave up cars in 2007 and moved to Pittsburg in 2009. Roger and Tailwinds-the staff and shop are my cyclist-commuter foundation that allows me to keep on the road whether it’s a tuneup, some friendly cyclist advice or a new bike build after a hit and run. They are always here for me. I can’t say thank you enough.
I have been cycling for about 5 years. I put down about 5-6,000 miles per year and do ultra long rides. For ages, I have been suffering with pain in my legs and lower back. I actually cried during several training sessions because my body was in so much discomfort. I was actually ready to buy an entire new bike because I thought my bike just didn't fit me. They've provided good service to my 1988 Cannondale with some good upgrades and my girlfriend bought her bike from Roger and they just do good work!
