Tailored in white depleted so much hope I had in my wedding look just days before I got married. I was an August bride who began her alteration experience in may of this year. I had a very simple dress that was not difficult to alter. They first of all made false promises with my neckline of my wedding dress and when they had made the alterations to the neckline, instead of a sweet heart look it was somewhat of a v shape, more tucked in. Heard about nothing but negative about this chain. Do your research first. They make you sign a paper so you can’t post a negative review. Check out Reddit first.
The girls in this shop are beyond sweet.. I unfortunately ended up having failed wedding plans and went in to tell them so I didn’t have to pay the fee or waste their time and they were so sweet and understanding. If in the future I decide to go forward with a wedding I would go here just for how and sympathetic/caring they were.
I want to start by saying my individual tailor was amazing, Mary made sure my dress was absolutely perfect. The business itself needs a lot of work. The business model is great but done poorly. Their whole business model is you pay per seem, and that seem can be altered as much as needed. I took my dress in to them in April, and they re hemmed my dress at 3 separate appointments, just to have to do it a forth time because my dress was worked by a different person while my tailor was on leave. My experience with this shop was the worst part of my wedding. I decided to use this shop as the ladies I purchased my dress with had them listed as a recommendation. My first appointment went well but other than that after each appointment I left less and less confident in their skills and services. I enjoyed Mary as she was kind but I feel she is way over her head and over worked .
