Not the place for dining or a nice evening out I've been to Tailgates about four times, for various office happy hours and once to watch a friends son perform in a band. I dont recommend it for either dining or a nice evening with friends. The music, and the crowd, are loud. There is a smoking section located in the front of the restaurant (a plastic tented area) that is very unpleasant to walk through as you enter. The furnishings are sparse and low quality. Needs Better Service & Staff I recently went to Tailgates to celebrate my birthday with a few of my friends on a Friday night, and I am never going back there. First of all, the security guard at the front door was too blunt and could have been more polite. When he said â5 dollar coverâ I couldnât believe it. It said nothing about a cover for that night on its website! Of course we were going to pay it, after all, it was my birthday. Great Fun and Friends I guess that old review the lady didn't know where she was because there is no smoking section covered by a tent.That would mean that she probably had a little to much to drink during her Happy-Hours and was cut-off.
