Manager With a desire to share their love for food and culture, Hiro and Kay opened Taiko's doors in 1979. Since, Taiko has remained the longest run family owned sushi restaurant on Long Island, and continues to share their vision today.

Portions have gotten smaller over the years. Stick to the rolls, it's what they are good at. My sushi pieces were no bigger then my thumb nail... when I pointed it out to them all's I got was "I'm sorry".. rice was $2 extra. .. doesn't sashimi come with rice? I've been going there for years... I feel disappointed
Hard to believe this mainstay has fallen so far. Lunch quality sushi at high prices, no high quality fish (med toro, toro, saba). The "amazing tuna" was barely edible! Very disappointing.
Friendliest staff (hi Mariko!), best food, great service...and as a vegetarian/vegan-they have so many great choices including a vegan ramen and vegetarian tofu sliders. Pineapple ginger tofu appetizer special, sweet potato roll and avocado/cucumber rolls are my go to foods here! Yum!
I drive from westchester just to have Sushi here!
