My daughter and i stopped in right before the lunch rush. The place has great atmosphere and the staff is friendly and fun. I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco and they were incredible! The fish was cornmeal crusted and was delicious, the tortillas are handmade and fresh! The shrimp tacos were to die for with a great marinade on the shrimp and cooked to perfection! I will definitely be coming back!
I've been wanting to try Tacovore for a while, but ever time we stop by it's super crowded, with long lines and no parking. We went during an off time Sunday afternoon, got in and ordered, food arrived quickly. Excellent food, love the salsa bar, the pineapple jalapeño is my favorite! The icing on the cake for us, the Celiacs friendly kitchen and menu, as our youngest has Celiacs and is often challenged to find places he can eat out at. My sister brought me here twice on my visits from Portland area. We love the food & atmosphere at Tacovore! We really appreciate the unique vegetarian options ("herbivore" specials are yummy). Nice they offer Happy Hour deals too. They really draw in a lot of people. Lunch times often have a long ordering line I hear.
I live in Phoenix and we have a TON of great taco places. I also spend a lot of time in Mexico. Maybe if you don't live near Mexico you might think these tacos are great but I had 3 different kinds and none of them were anywhere near 'above average'. Even the margarita was very mediocre and not worth the 5 bucks I paid for it during happy hour. I would not go back here. My friend who is also from Phoenix said the same thing. This place would never survive in a town like Phoenix!
