Tonight 9/11/2026; we went to Taco Bell for the first time in a very long while… I now remember why: Taco Bell has decided to aggressively use “Shrinkflation” as part of their new approach to customer appreciation and customer retention. “Shrinkflation”, is when food companies reduce product sizes while keeping the price the same or higher. What the heck happened to Taco Bell? The new renovations removed any sort of charm or positive experience from the restaurants. Absolutely sterile, dull atmosphere inside. Literally nearly impossible to even interact with an employee, the counter was completely empty and when we went up to ask for more sauces and for the bathroom door code had to wait SEVERAL minutes for someone to even pop their head out of the kitchen and acknowledge us.
