Me and a friend decided to try a new place Sunday since we were in the area. We went in for drinks and appetizers. We ordered a couple beers, the humus, and soft pretzels. The humus was good, the pretzels, AWFUL. They were burnt and over half of each one were inedible. The part that was edible was hard and not soft at all. It says it comes with beer cheese on the menu but only came with some kind of mustard. After a little over an hour sitting at a single table a hostess asked us to leave to seat other people. RUDE. I've nev... read more

Business response:

We responded to you on Yelp as well, but in case you don't see it, here is what it said: We really hate to read that you had a bad experience at our place. When we are on a wait list, we will occasionally ask those who appear to be done if they don't mind giving up their table so that someone else can dine. I am sorry if you were offended; I do hope you were asked nicely. If not, please let us know more at zig@tabortavern.com As for the pretzel, the menu reads soft german pretzels from fressen bakery with beer mustard - not ... read more

Delicious beet salad. Thank you for having good food with veggies on the kids' menu.

We ordered three burgers and not one came with the bacon jam they were supposed to have. Also they were dry as a bone and the French fries were burned. Still, good beer and friendly service. Still, I don't think we are coming back.

Business response:

Well, that's certainly not the kind of review we like to read, Dave. I hope you let your server know you weren't happy? If you did and we didn't fix it, then shame on us!

Very good food. Nice staff. Too hot in there. No air conditioning. Little ceiling fans are ineffective.

Business response:

Hi Clint! Glad you enjoyed our food and staff. Believe it or not, there is A/C, however it is old and in need of an upgrade. Unfortunately, we don't own the building so there isn't much we can do. Thanks for coming in!
