Sylvan Learning Center in Hoover created a great learning environment for my daughter. The staff is wonderful.Thank you for all of your help this summer.
I wouldn’t recommend you waste your money at this facility. I paid nearly $2000 and never once did I get an update on my son’s progress. They never let us know we were reaching the end of his lessons. They never cared to even call or send a letter home with him. They didn’t even bother to show me his “progress”, which we saw none.
This is a great addition to our Hoover community of school goers. Intelligent & dedicated staff helps kids with homework on personal basis. Very centrally located, optimal batches for great learning experience!
Would never spend my money with Sylvan again. They didn't seem to know what they were doing. Guaranteed 1pt increase and didn't get it! They did another 4 hours for free and we increased 1pt. Used another service (not in this area) for my son and went up 4pts.
They are kind of pricey but they do have payment plans and other options for payment including a loan I believe. I didn't get far with the center because of the price and I wanted 1on1 tutoring (which they offer but its not flexible) but its mostly group tutoring. I seen one tutor with about 5 or 6 kids. They did have a sign posted for a discount if you leave a review so I'm not sure how honest some of the reviews are.
