I have been extremely impressed with Sylvan of Ames beginning with my first interaction. Looking to help improve our middle-school daughter's study skills, I was pleased with the offerings Sylvan had, but even more so the intentionality put into selecting the courses and putting them in order that would best align with her specific needs. Wonderful place. We used Sylvan for last minute ACT prep for child summer end of junior year. Two weeks intensive help 2-3 hrs/day and studying 1-2 hrs at home after. Child increased score by 5 points. Brought 2 other children in for reading comp testing and will be establishing a plan.
i just wanted to know if i can get a tutor for my wife she wants to learn to talk and read and understand i don’t if i can go there and get some information
The staff are all very friendly and they did an excellent job of helping us understand the assessment that helped us figure out the best learning path. Theo is the second time we are sending one of our kids to Sylvan and we highly recommend the West Ames location.
Sylvan has been a great addition to our son’s overall academic Improvement. Our son’s confidence in his academic abilities has skyrocketed since beginning his journey there.
