Absolutely horrendous company! If you see Sylo anywhere, RUN! Moved out in December after having lived in one of their buildings since 2021, and it appears that they are refusing to refund my security deposit. I’ve called and left emails with proof from the company who was previously in charge of property management at this particular building that CLEARLY says that our security deposits would be moved to a tenant account, and I’m still getting no communication from them. Called to let them know I was a few minutes late, but since I was self guiding the tour I wasn’t late at all and got all the info I needed before arriving. Lovely.
I lived in Alberta14 for almost 2 years. The building was routinely cleaned, and maintenance staff is responsive. However, the move-out and deposit process was frustrating. I spent many hours cleaning the unit thoroughly and even touched up the walls using the exact paint the management company provided. Despite that, they initially charged me $1,000 for repainting on the grounds that the paint “didn’t match.” Again, the paint was provided by the maintenance staff. I have never wanted to review a property management company before - but Sylo is truly in a class all its own. The customer service is just fantastic. They are super responsive and helpful - big shout out to Amanda who managed our property and to Steven on the maintenance team!
