The medical care was good, however my experience at reception was unacceptable. My health insurance had already arranged the appointment, but after I had a minor surgical procedure on my eye (while I was in pain and vulnerable), the receptionist refused to let me leave until my insurer called her immediately to confirm payment. She treated me in a racist and discriminatory way, speaking to me rudely and making me feel unwelcome because I am latin and my insurance is not Australian.
