Forgot to decorate wedding cake – Ordered a wedding cake with them. Overlooked the very unprofessional staff for a traditional New Orleans icon cake. Arrived at reception to stare at a wedding cake iced white with nothing else. Nothing could be done at the time....but not sure how a cake leaves the bakery without it being decorated. Not the wedding memories you look forward to having.
Awful Attitudes, Awesome Cakes – Just not friendly especially lady who may be owner. One guy who's been there is ok, but I bet pressured by owner (lady) who is unfriendly and unprofessional. Cakes are commendable because of taste no other has. I still go under crucial circumstances, very important events, but sometimes go elsewhere because of attitudes. I give a 4 for cakes, but not 5 because of unfriendliness.
Great Cakes!!! – I used Swiss for for my wedding cake and grooms cake. They were able to do exactly what i needed for the grooms cake (a sail boat) and my wedding cake was sooooo pretty! Also, the cake was baked that day and tasted so good that most guests had more than one piece!
Best cakes in town! – I have had Swiss cakes for special occasions since I was a child. My wedding cake, my 25th Anniversary cake, my children's birthday cakes, graduation cakes, have all come from Swiss. I would not go anywhere else. When you bring the cake home it smells the whole house - we usually order a bigger size cake then needed, so we have left overs. BEST CAKES!!! – I had both the chocolate and wedding cake at our wedding and there was none left! Most delicious cakes ever - they make great birthday cakes too - just don't order last minute.
The BEST cakes around! – Swiss definitely has the BEST cakes anywhere in the area. Yes, your choices on designs are limited, but I promise, the taste and quality of their cakes will more than make up for it. The people there are friendly and willing to work with each customer to make them happy. I would HIGHLY recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a cake for any occasion. Best cake ever! – Swiss makes the best cakes ever. Half of my wedding attendees were from out of town. and the all raved about the cakes. They had never tasted cake as good as the Swiss cake. And people are still talking about them. I absolutely LOVE Swiss cakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOUR CAKE – Be careful when considering Swiss for your wedding cake. We went in after they were recommended by the hotel were we?re getting married. They will not allow you to design the cake you want and the lady that waited on us was VERY UNPLEASANT. We left and went directly to Haydel and couldn't have been more pleased with the wonderful service and they accommodated the design we wanted.
Swiss Bakery did a wonderful job with both of my cakes. Beauty, fantastic flavor, and elegance was seen and tasted throughout. Swiss Bakery has truely proven that they are the true taste of New Orleans. I recommend them to everyone.
