The upper park gorge trail winds through a beautiful and surreal landscape that will take your breath away every time you round a corner. Absolutely awe inspiring!!
The camping itself can be hit or miss depending on the site you get (some spots are in an open field) so definitely do your research on ReserveAmerica. We hiked all 5 miles. 2.5 up, 2.5 down. Lots of steps!! If you want you can drive over to the upper part of the park and see the highlights of the trail within minutes but the rim trail offered its own incentives. Great family friendly experience. The water was chilly but exactly what we needed to cool off from a 91 degree day. We definitely will go back and probably camp in the area.
Great place to camp,hike and swim,wish they would add more electric sites ,and a camp store for ice and small stuff,but other then that it’s a favorite
