The campsites are a little close, but it is so beautiful here.
Sweet little gem on the way back from Doe River to Knoxville.
Doing great things to enhance the historical theme of the state park! They constructing a period cabin and other structures to form a working homestead similiar to what the Crockett Family would have had. Watched them construct these structures yesterday wearing period correct clothes and using period correct hand tools and methods. Great experience and atmosphere!

Beautiful state park on Nolachucky River. Great historical museum.
I enjoyed my time at the park portraying Col Crockett. The staff were quite helpful to me and my friend Kathy who was portraying Elizabeth Patton Crockett. Quite Honored to have been where Ol' Davy was born.
