The meat was awesome for all five meals, but the sides were not so fabulous. What made me give this review a "3 star" was the fact that the waitress called me a "Yankee" for saying "pop" instead of "soda." First, I am from the northwest and not the northeast (WA to be specific) , so I am NOT a Yankee. Second, joking or not I find it completely rude, especially upon first greeting your customer to take their drink order. Plus, she did it in front of my kids (way to promote bullying).
Not meant for vegans! Its the best barbecue I've ever had and I've been in different parts of the world. I always take my guests here and its always the same great taste, service and of course, serving! Word of advice, get the Family Platter
swig & swine is my favorite Charleston area BBQ spot. So glad they built one near my home in Summerville. I am also a wedding DJ and they were the catering service for a recent wedding. I was so excited to see them on the vendor list. You can't go wrong with Swig & Swine to add to the Charleston Charm for your wedding or any company or family event. They are the best. They have the BEST collard greens on the planet, hands down!!!!
My daughter Staci used Swig for her wedding and the food was AMAZING!! Chris Harris did a great job communicating all the details prior to event and the Swig staff did a nice job serving and cleaning up.

We were passing through Charleston on our way back to Jacksonville. We decided last second when we saw it on the side of the road that's what we going to eat. So glad we made that u-turn. We had the sausage and cheese appetizer, the pimento cheese was sooo good. The sausage was amazing! My boyfriend had the beef brisket sandwich, the brisket was the best I have ever tasted. My only negative is that there wasn't enough wait staff for the crowd. Our waitress was very friendly but seemed to be running around waaaaaaaaaayyyy too much. I could not honestly give lower than a 5 bc the food was that good. I got the 3 meat plate bc I couldn't decide what to get and I'm ecstatic I did.
