Great place good people positive atmosphere!!! Always felt welcome here with whoever I would bring there. Owner is always open to new faces and personalities. Saw a negative post earlier in week, but know that it was a random fluke event. This is truly one of the only bars I know that has a very friendly following and staff. Had many negative experiences at several other bars , but never here. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a chill fun place to hang.
Usually I don't leave reviews or comment on articles but this week I feel I must. Earlier this week I saw an article about SWIG. The headline stated black man felt sub-human after being denied entry to a bar in Chicago. I couldn't believe that something like this would happen in a bar that I had worked at for more than three years. Great neighborhood bar that has been a regular stop for a few years with many a friend and neighbor to catch up over good food and drinks at good prices. Friendly and chill spot.
Swig has become my neighborhood go to spot for the past couple of years. The owner Josh and all of the bartenders are super friendly and welcoming of everyone. Perfect place to spend a summer afternoon with your friends enjoying a Moscow Mule or a Fall/Winter night playing some pool getting some warmth by their fireplace in the back! I always recommend this place to anyone new in town or visiting from other countries/states and every time they thank me!
I love this place! It's so easy to text people to go here...IT'S SO EASY TO SPELL!!!! Food is great. Bartenders are awesome. Close to @north. It's perfect...plus pool table!
My fav bar!!! Its a great place to drink, play pool and relax!
