Greektown restaurant serves up the sweet taste of ribs with a dash of historic pride. – In Short Sweetwater Tavern resides in a distinctive turn-of-the-century Victorian-style building near the heart of Greektown. The lunchtime rush is one of the most furious in town, with businesspeople shuffling in to sample some of the best barbecue in town. Sandwiches are affordable and portions are generous. However, in order to truly appreciate this restaurant, you must sample the ribs. Tasty Stroh's ice cream is available for dessert.
food good; service bad – Food was great. We ordered the big pig and the fish and chips. Price were very reasonable. Bad news was the service. Our waitress was rude and very slow even though we were her only table.
One of my favorite establishments – I am a person who flat out loves Sweetwater Tavern. In my opinion the place is a classic. I especially love the Food on the menu. The Steak Bites are awesome, the wings are unbelieveable, and the Seasoned Fries are awesome. In fact I'm on the way to Sweetwater right now.
Ribs and wings to die for – They have the best ribs and wings in the area, at least, as far as I can tell. The service is always polite, but it can be spotty, mainly because this place can get slammed for lunch. I would've given higher ratings for the food quality, but I've had a couple bad bowls of soup there. SweetBastings – dear sweet water, i recently sampled some of your fine cuisene. the beer battered chicken strips were intense and the pork sandwich was insane! my friend and I stopped on a long shot before the game. what a score! the warm glow of the sign in front drew me in and it had shuttle service!sweet! we got cups to go with our stew and a expert shuttle driver. i cant wait to go to the sweet water again to another succuelent entre.
