The food here is kind of expensive so you'd think that the food would be spectacular but no it's just average. It tastes like food you'd get anywhere else for a lot less. But the biscuit was good and the staff was very friendly so that makes up for it.
Excellent food, vibe and pricing. The secret sauce is the owner and staff who are very inviting, making you feel like you are at mommas kitchen table.
Great place for breakfast! My server never let my coffee cup go below half full and she even hooked me up with a cup to go. I'm in Chicago for 2 more days and will probably go back at least once more. 😊
Food is hands down AMAZING!!! But the nickel and diming, lack of beverage options (because they don't want to pay the soda tax), the random "only 1 credit card per table" rule, the inability to BYOB Or order breakfast cocktails, makes it impossible to rate this place a 5.

Excellent service, friendly staff, good quality food. I love the atmosphere which feels like a small country town café. Sweet Maple Café is usually busy and I appreciate the fact that they had chairs out doors so that you can sit and wait.
