Fabulous Addition – I've been a long time fan of the underdog. Sway and Cake and other fashionable boutiques like it are definately the underdogs in this world of HUGE department stores and giant McRetail chains. great selection of designers – I haven't shopped at S & C that often, but when I have, the sales staff was helpful and polite, helping me snap/zip/button the backs of tops and dresses, and inquiring about what kind of event I was shopping for. I bought a top there from a designer that I loved but couldn't find anywhere else in Seattle. Prices are average for the designers (read: on the expensive side) that the store carries. Loved It!! – I am new to the city and i just found Sway and Cake. i loved the store, i found everything that i needed and was blown away by the cloths.. i have to admit the lovely girls that work there where right on. their sense of style really helped me out thanks again. next time i am in town i will be back.
High-grade snobbishness, low-grade individuality – While this store was a favorite of mine when it first opened (in its pre-expansion days), there's always been something that bothered me. I'll give Ms. Donaghy (the store proprietress) credit for having a mostly unerring eye for what's hip (at least as far as what's hip in Nordstrom right next door), as the store inventory can back that up.
