If you have a choice between crawling or getting a lift from Swartz, CRAWL! They charged $860 to move a patient .6 miles, just over 3,100 feet! What a total scam this company runs. I've told SO many people my story and without exception everyone is SHOCKED at the details. I'm still absolutely FUMING. Wish I could vote negative stars.
Aside from the fact that my daughters back injury was severe, later diagnosed as duel tear and disk rupture, the attending EMT personnel kept telling her that the injury was all in her head. Despite having standard doorways they decided to carry her out like you would a 150 lb sack of potatoes, how do you think that impacted an already severe back injury? They clearly have no regard or compassion for injured people, simply unacceptable. And the cost of this unfortunate decision was north of five hundred bucks.
There is no better ambulance service in flint. They need more units. There staff is extremely professional and courtious. I hate it when they don't have a unit available and we have to use another company because the other companies are rude and unprofessional.
