I'm not sure what was worse, Kupferman or her staff. Horrible experience and will never go back to this woman again. From start to finish the experience was completely negative and the exam made me bleed for four days after (never happened with any other routine exam.) She was absolutely rude and not knowledgeable or helpful at all.
Prepare to have everything you bring up to be dismissed and for you to be gaslit on what you're experiencing. Her demeanor presents as annoyed that you have questions. My menopuase symptoms were dismissed with a sigh and 'well, it's just a change', 'I don't do thyroids,', and 'I don't believe in testosterone'. I had to insist on labs despite her objections - 'insurance probably won't pay for that'. Dr Kupferman was just plain rude and dismissive of my issues and concerns. It was as if she was doing me a favor to see her. The rest of the staff were nice and pleasant though.
I have been seeing Dr Kupferman for over twenty years. Very personable and a great doctor!!
So for someone who works at an OBGYN office, I was expecting the same treatment and service that I see given at my own workplace. It was the opposite. The front receptionists of this office are very nice, but I am not happy with my experience with the doctor I saw. (I can't speak on behalf of the other doctor) Dr. Kupferman was not personable, barely listened when I was telling her about my issues and even interrupted me in the middle of talking. Susie is a phenomenal doctor with an excellent bedside manner. She is incredibly knowledgeable and knows how to put her patients at ease. Thankful to have found an OBGYN like her.
