Thrifty sushi rolls by on a "train" in a mod diner atmosphere. – In Short The formica-heavy dining room here doesn't focus on luxury. But there are good seats in the plastic booths in the back or at the curving bar where little plates of sushi roll by on the automated track. Eats are economically portioned: Nigiri such as meltingly tender tuna is thinly sliced, and crunchy deep-fried rolls come three pieces to a plate. But with plates averaging about $2, it's still a bargain.
awesome – i love this place its my favorite place to go and hangout with friends and eat!! i take my family friends and boyfriend they all love it!! everyweek i have new people coming to test it cause they like so much!!
My favorite weekend stop... – I love Sushiville, if I could be a Sushiville cheerleader I would...The sushi is always fresh and has a great flavor, and the service is phenominal, my boyfriend and I always have great conversations with the friendly servers. Also the restaurant is clean, has unique decor (not cheesy oriental). One of the other things I really like is that the owner is almost always there checking over everything, he's super nice and stops by the customers often to ask how they are doing. I highly recommend thi... read more
wonderful! worth a walk down to quimby street – not many people come all the way down to quimby when strolling down 23rd, but sushiville was definitely worth the extra walking. it definitely has the best decor among all the conveyor belt sushi places around town, and my kids loved the murals painted to look like we're underwater. my favorites were the calamari roll, spicy tuna, and the tofu teriyaki. we went during lunch hour and the miso and tea were free. overall i'd definitely go back, it was one of the best kaiten sushi ... read more
Tasty Stuff! – Sushiville provides entertaining kai-ten style sushi, a good selection of sake, and a nice, quick, inexpensive and fun meal. The decor leaves a bit to be desired and I'm not a big fan of the uncomfy chairs, but hey... it's worth the price. Highly recommended.
One of the BEST! – I have fallen in love with Sushiville. From its excellent food to the 80s music rehash playing in the background, it's great! For the money, there simply isn't a better deal on sushi in Portland. Make sure to order the edamame, it's pretty tasty for $1.25.
Freshest at lunch time – I found the sushi and the rice to be very fresh at lunch time. The seaweed isn't chewy like most sushi places - it's very fresh. The atmosphere is like a cafe, nothing special. It's fast and very inexpensive for the sushi.
Great fun – The sushi is not the best, but given the conveyor belt atmosphere it is is very good. If you get there at off-hours the selection is limited and I have found the chefs slow for a la carte orders. I threw a birthday party here for 40 people and it was terrific. They went out of their way to make it a special event. On other occasions, though the service is indifferent and slow although still better than Umenoki where aggression is the mode or Sushiland on NE Weidler where they told me to wrap up my own take-out fo... read more
Fun and Cheap – Sushiville's brand new on 23rd. Was an AMAZING deal when they had 30% off a couple months ago, but still cheap. Best inari I've found, otherwise good but standard.
