Savor one of the best sushi in the neighborhood at Sushi Yasaka. Located on West 72nd Street, the kitchen is headed by Executive Chef Mitch N. Shinohara. His Japanese culinary expertise is reflected in every dish and acknowledged by the loyal patrons. Try the Yasaka's Signature Maki, a fried Japanese oyster mixed with vegetable, Futomaki, lobster tempura and geisha roll.

Definitely make a reservation! Chirashi lunch is my favorite (Umi no sachi is probably the dinner equivalent).
Best omakase you will ever have in nyc for 45 dollars.portion is also huge.
On weekends, make sure to make a reservation! and most importantly get sushi Omakase (regular) if you're there for first time and willing to splurge on yourself~ :D
The excellence is sheer in the simplicity. For those who seek not a full belly, but higher consciousness.
Really fantastic fresh fish. Omakase mini was excellent. Decor and patrons leave a bit to be desires.
Make a reservation!
Fishes on the chirashi are tasty and generously cut. Omakase has lots of great fishes but presentation wasn't great. (Order for three got put in the same plate like a party platter)
Lunch special!!
Fantastic! Best place for real sushi lover I tried in years
