Savor one of the best sushi in the neighborhood at Sushi Yasaka. Located on West 72nd Street, the kitchen is headed by Executive Chef Mitch N. Shinohara. His Japanese culinary expertise is reflected in every dish and acknowledged by the loyal patrons. Try the Yasaka's Signature Maki, a fried Japanese oyster mixed with vegetable, Futomaki, lobster tempura and geisha roll.

A classy Japanese restaurant with simple yet decadent dishes, and amazing cuts of fish. A bit of a wait on weekends, but worth it. The toro tartare appetizer (pic) was fresh and bursting with flavor.
Sushi Omakase! Do it! See pic.
I join those who recommend the Omakase. The fish is fresh and full of flavor. The regular Omakase is $45 and the mini is $24 (pictured below). The mini with an appetizer was sufficient as a meal.
Amazing fresh sushi!
