Sushi Kashiba is wonderful. We had the extreme pleasure of being seated at the sushi bar with Shiro. Every piece of fish was prepared in such a way to highlight the fish’s flavor. Many local ingredients were featured including a delicate pine mushroom soup and several types/cuts of fish I’ve never had. Worth whatever waiting you need to do to get a seat at this sushi bar.

Best sushi I’ve ever had. Shiro trained under Jiro Ono (“Jiro Dreams of Sushi”), but he’s been running his own sushi restaurants for almost 30 years and he knows what he’s doing. I ate at the sushi bar and had the omakase menu, where Shiro makes the sushi himself and you don’t actually order anything. Once everyone decides they’ve had enough, then you move on to the dessert course (three more pieces of sushi). It is to difficult to recommend anything because everything we had was so amazing. I am still reeling from the experience. If you have the means to go here, do it is an experience you will remember.
