Not psychologically sophisticated – Based on the statements of my patients, Dr. Khachatryan seems to have little or no understanding of the psychological bases for psychiatric disorders, seeming to believe that neurochemical causes are the only cause. She does not communicate much empathy or make the patient feel understood. Based on comments that she has left on my voicemail regarding patients I have referred to her, she appears to be frightened by serious psychopathology.
