She is an amazing surgeon. With COVID my surgery originally got canceled and then rescheduled at the last minute. I was completely terrified for this surgery because it has been my biggest fear since I was diagnosed at age 11. I am 17 now and she did amazing with my surgery. I was admitted to the hospital on Monday February 1st, 2021 and was discharged on Wednesday February 3rd,2021. I have been recovering very quickly. My 5 year old daughter needed to get her broken arm pinned, Dr. Nelson was fabulous! She spoke with us before the surgery letting us know what to expect which gave us a lot of confidence and comfort in her to take care of our baby. We had a great experience with her overall.
Dr. Nelson put a Pavlik harness on my daughter too tight. She slept too long because she couldn't breathe well. UR has gotten too big and no longer cares. This place is a joke. We average at least 40 minutes of wait time after the appointment was scheduled for. A student randomly came in though we weren't asked if it was ok, didn't say anything for 10 minutes, but when he did say something, Dr. Nelson negated it when we asked for her to come in.
