I have been going to Dr Marra for two years. Yes she is a bit kooky at times but so right on when it comes to treatment. She has never pushed me to buy her supplements as she knows that cost is an issue. Yes it is expensive to go to her BUT she is putting her life/job on the line by treating Lyme. Dr. Marra is a wonderful doctor. I've been to many, and she is by far the most knowledgeable. Others say, "Because you have this and that, lets try this," or, if you have lyme, "It's all in your head. Go see a psychiatrist." Dr. Marra is lyme-literate, and very helpful. I was very disappointed with Dr.Mara. I have seen many doctors for my son, and I can only think of one other clinic we were treated so poorly. The charges were $345 per visit, no matter how much time she spends with you. During our last visit (we had been there twice)she spent about 15 minutes, told us she could not help us in a very abrasive way, and then charged me $345 for that! This is my third year in treatment. I was losing my ability to walk, having terrible balance problems, and numb from my waist to my toes when I began seeing Dr. Marra in May 2008. Dr. Marra has made it possible for both my kids to live normal lives. As I am typing this, my daughter is practicing her dance team choreography. She dances 7 hours a week, and is preparing for a competition. Just a couple years ago, she could not walk longer than one block without triggering a Lyme flare.
