Very rude and condescending. He didn’t listen to any of my concerns pre or post op. Ive regretted my surgery every day since and every concern/question I had before surgery he said wouldn’t happened has happened. I’m disfigured now. He is a wonderful Dr. he not only did my gastric bypass many years ago he also did my gallbladder the following year and most recently saved my life. After going to my pcp who just kept riding me off I drove down to Baileys Medical Center knowing something was wrong once I got there the staff was great and got me in right away, after they listened to me and did a few test Dr.Varnell had see those test and immediately had me prep for surgery. He’s a great doctor but I had two issues that should not have existed. First, this was the 4th time I had laparoscopic abdominal surgery and by far the most disfiguring. Prior to this it was hard to even find the other scars. These are wide and much longer than previous ones and I’m not sure why. Second, even though they state that they accept Medicare and I provided the information for them and they asked for my Medicare card, Dr Varnel’s office informed me that they would not put that it was inpatient even though I was the... read more
