My sister and I were to spend 3 nights in Fairbanks as part of a two-week trip and cruise in Alaska, which was suspended due to COVID. Although the rate was non-refundable, I inquired about the possibility of moving the reservation to the same days in 2021. I tried to contact the hotel directly and through Orbitz at least a half dozen times and have not gotten any response - not even an acknowledgement. RecommendedThe staff was friendly and genuine. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. The rooms were comfy and clean. I loved the location, its within walking distance of alot of restaurants and gas stations and a Theater. I will be coming here again when I'm back in town.
I’m only writing this to warn others and normally I would just let it go but I’ve never experienced such lack of customer service and very deceiving pricing. Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever stayed in!!!! First they messed up my reservation date and said we had cancelled when we didn’t, then they charged us a ridiculous amount for a one night stay in a motel of $175 when originally quoted $140. Same dirt on the entrance carpets for three days. The stair carpets are worn through. One towel in our bathroom was rotten with holes in it, I wouldn't even use it to wash the car. The rest were stained as if they had used them for cleaning. Quite simply, this place needs more effort put into it to make it welcoming.
I liked it was clean comefortable and very relaxing and I'll be staying again because special room rate i get it will help during the holidays
