I love Fred’s cattleya alliance and catasetum breeding. In fact, most of my awarded cattleyas came from Fred’s breeding.
Some of the best cattleyas, catasetums and Australian dendrobiums amongst an assortment of several other genus. Fred is quite a hybridizer and grower. Also a gentlemen.
What can you say about this place? I don't think I need to go into the quality of the plants. What really makes this place great is the quality of the staff - unbelievably knowledge and incredibly friendly! This has to be one of the best places in the States to buy orchids!
Imaginative and Quality orchid hybrids and species. The plants you'll receive are incredibly vigorous and quick to bloom.
Incredible orchids, one of the best catasetum assortments anywhere on planet Earth, how lucky we are to have them so close in Vista! My first trip here was wonderful, I left with so many gorgeous orchids and got to see some wonderful specimens. Highly recommend, both for the wonderful orchids but also the kindness and care from every single person who works here. Tl;dr - take my money
Sunset Valley Orchids is simply an orchid lover's heaven!!! Fred has an exceptional selection of Catatsetinae and Cattleya seedlings. Many are award quality flowers! Excellent prices, plants are worth what you pay. Excellent packing and shipping process. Highly recommend!
Clean, neat, well laid out, friendly and knowledgable staff with great prices, great quality of plants and always a treat to visit!
