the service manager is a conman. Poor service, – the new service manager Curt Born is a fool ,used car salesman? I did some research, He was the Service manager at Jim fisher volvo, they did good to get rid of him, Just read the reviews? why is he at sunset? they have enouph problems,! Believe the One-Star Reviews – When I walked in to check out a car, I was the only person in the building. Two sales people were at their desks and neither bothered to get up until I motioned for assistance. The "showroom", by the way, doesn't have a single chair. Outstanding Sevice – I live in Los Angeles, but had spent 6 weeks working in Portland. My husband drove our Audi A3 up north so that we could take a long, meandering road trip back to L.A. along the coast and through the forests. Upon his arrival, he said that the car was losing force and felt "funny." I took it out, and he was absolutely right. Are things going good at Sunset Imports? – Called and scheduled service for Porsche to occur while I was out of town. As requested before dropping off my car I called to ensure they were "prepared to receive" me—I got their voice mail. When I arrived no one greeted me. The place was empty--zero customers--ZERO customer service. I had to go to an office and request assistance. Great Service – I don't know what the whole fuss is about from the previous reviews. Sunset Imports is great, I like how they have a customer relationship. And their prices are MSRP. Great Servicing for your car as well.
DO NOT GO TO SUNSET – Sunset Imports does not do good work. Bad service and expensive mistakes. I have owned porsches for over twenty years. They are great cars. Never had a bad experience until I worked with Sunset Imports.
The only Audi dealer in town and they know it. – The staff I experienced were freindly and kind. But my concern is honesty. They made me and offer which I wrote down in fromt of the salesman on his vehicle spec sheet. THey did not follow up as promised but offered me a few days to accept the deal. My Experience – Reading the above review made me laugh. To think of being miffed that they sold the car out from under your broker! Try doing business directly with them instead of paying a middle man. Sunset has always been, in my experience, very low-pressure and congenial. All the staff are unpretentious and non-threatening. Maybe you mistook the manager's behavior for disinterest when he was simply giving you a little space, unlike most car dealerships. Don't go there – I went there to shop for the audi A4 2006, and that at the end of 2005, they were not helpful, mainly the salesmanager, didn't even show interest, also they sold the car that I reserved via a broker without tell him!!, went to Seattle, and saved ~ 3000$ on the same car and they were great. Try the Seattle dealers much better.
