I’m writing this review to warn families who may be considering placing a loved one in this facility. What my family experienced was heartbreaking, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. During my elderly mother’s stay at the Sunrise Senior Living Community in Palos Hills, IL., we encountered repeated instances of neglect, unsanitary conditions, and gross mismanagement. Terrin , Jenna and the staff at Sunrise Senior Living are amazing. You can truly feel the care and dedication they put into everything they do. Terrin leads with heart, and it shows in how well the whole team takes care of the residents. We’re so grateful for them.
At first my father was not happy with Sunrise. The decor is very dated and the room he got had a really noisy furnace. I called corporate and they quickly replaced it, now he doesn't hear a sound. He didn't like how tiny the single room was so we upgraded him at an additional cost. Now he is very happy. He doesn't like the lack of salt in the food but he has high blood pressure. Took a tour here & nothing but great things to say. Polite and friendly staff, management and most importantly, residents. Their community dog was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend.
