At first my father was not happy with Sunrise. The decor is very dated and the room he got had a really noisy furnace. I called corporate and they quickly replaced it, now he doesn't hear a sound. He didn't like how tiny the single room was so we upgraded him at an additional cost. Now he is very happy. He doesn't like the lack of salt in the food but he has high blood pressure. Took a tour here & nothing but great things to say. Polite and friendly staff, management and most importantly, residents. Their community dog was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend.
I came there to visit a friend and I noticed a few things that made me think hard about this place. First the executive director didn't speak at all. The coordinator wasn't, dressed professionally not for work. Also she had no clue how to talk to the people under her. I noticed that as i was sitting there waiting , thinking about the workers that under them, I couldn't imagine how they feel. How do you want or think some other new residents want to come their to enjoy there remain years.
I worked there for 2 months and was fired because I was getting sick my supervisor was sick all the time I was a cook and I didn't like the way they treated the residents there they always smelled like urine..
I was a worker there for almost 5 years before becoming a nurse. I decided to further into a hospital setting but my time there as a care manager was great. From working there I definitely knew that nursing was for me. I started my foundation at Sunrise and I do not regret it at all. Amazing company and staff. Would also recommend them to anyone.
