Every one is so kind and supportive, all staff are funny and friendly. Cheri is so random so you always know that you’ll have a good day when she’s around.
Sunrise House is more than a youth emergency shelter. They provide resources to families, support for youth housing, a hub for youth to find community and sense of belonging and so much more all ran by a great group of individuals. If you have never been ask for a tour, and see what they have to offer and I bet the space is not what you would expect !
A safe place for youth to be when they are facing homelessness & unsafe environments. There is a lower level of”Kickstand” (sometimes referred to as HUB) where all youth (including community youth not facing homelessness) can engage with positive staff and access many supports & be directed to community resources.
