this has become our date place. the food is amazing, the staff is incredible. love it
They verbally abused a young man whose card was declined for insufficient funds. They shouted at him, embarrassed, and shamed him-the entire diner could hear and no one stepped in or checked her behavior. My boyfriend wound up paying for the young man so he could leave peacefully and the berating could stop. It was absolutely horrific. The woman then proceeded to loudly discuss the situation with the next three groups of diners who were cashing out.

Straight up home cooking! Was there bright and early at open......big laughs with the cook/owner. By far the best breakfast in Lafayette!!
I lived in Lafayette about 15 years ago and used to go to Sunrise a lot for breakfast or lunch. I was back in town this week and put this place on my "must visit" list. The food was great and the service was friendly just like I remember it. Also, all other BLT sandwiches pale in comparison and the cole slaw was fantastic!
I have been a frequent customer since 2000! I love their food and awesome staff.
