A few days ago, I booked an apartment viewing, and this morning, just 3 hours before the scheduled viewing, I received a confirmation that the meeting would take place. Unethical landlord showed photos when I was moving into Calgary, then gave me a far inferior suite with a flying ant infestation. Stood me up twice but still hung in there. Exploits tenants with skyhigh rent increases during rental crisis then aggressive collections even though there's under 5% vacancy in the city. Stay far away. It started out a bit rough with lots of mistakes on their end when they first took over the building 5 years ago or so but they continually improved in terms of their service. Rents went up fast though over those 5 years which was a bummer. AL's staff, from the ladies in the office to the on-site gents I dealt with along the way, all are really nice people. I moved there less than two months ago and a parcel has been stolen from my doorstep, another tenant had the same problem and then another tenant got their storage room vandalised. All of this in less than a month. Avenue Living is doing nothing.
I do not recommend this house to anyone! The administration does not check the residents (hooligans, drug addicts and thieves live there). I have had more than one case of theft from inside the house and a car in the parking lot. The administration does not react or respond in any way. I do not recommend!
