TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE L&D I waited approximately 16 hours in one of their triage rooms at L&D. I came in to the hospital at 40 weeks with contractions every 5 minutes and lasting about 1 minute. I was told that I needed to stay in the hospital until a room became available and in the meantime, I would be receiving an antibiotic via IV. The nurse and the doctor said that the wait would not be that long. Once a room became available, I would be induced. During this time, my contractions seem to settle down. The NICU is incredibly. An amazing team! High risk obstetrics was also amazing. They literally saved my babies life and the nurses at the emergency department are some of the kindest individuals I ever met 💕
I recently underwent a 7.5-hour heart surgery at Sunnybrook, and I can truly say that this hospital gave me a second chance at life. I am endlessly grateful to the entire team who saved me.
