RecommendedSunken Well Tavern is my favorite eatery in Fredericksburg. Pleasant welcoming atmosphere offering more than your everyday American food menu.
RecommendedI like it because it seems to be in the middle of nowhere, amongst the houses, yet there you are! It blends in well and makes good use of an apparently historical space. I further agree with that in their displaying of art by local artists. Great chic food for not so "new-age" prices! Pet friendliness is an added bonus! Well done! 😎

We were unbelievably treated. Our to-go order was wrong. We were laughed at and hung up on. Then, on a second call, we were disregarded. TWO MANAGERS were incredibly rude, and, quite honestly, we were shocked because we were just trying to explain ourselves. We’ve eaten there many times, and ordered out even more times! However, they neglected to fix their error. When a quesadilla is supposed to come with onions, peppers, cheese, and tomatoes, it should.
